The 1Password password manager allows users to easily organize all of their work passwords in one secure, central location; and with the 1Password app available for Windows, macOS, iOS, Chrome, Firefox, and more, the passwords are always right at their fingertips!

To support both both in-person and hybrid meetings via the familiar Zoom interface, CAES maintains numerous Zoom Rooms throughout the college, including rooms equipped with dedicated Zoom Room hardware from DTEN.
Zoom Rooms equipped with DTEN hardware include powerful built-in microphones, cameras, and speakers able to cover the entire room as well as advanced meeting features like a digital whiteboard that can be saved and shared and live on-screen annotation of presentations and shared content.

CrashPlan is a cloud backup solution available to CAES units. CrashPlan backs up data automatically, with no user effort or intervention required, and enables Departmental IT staff to quickly and easily restore data. CrashPlan is ideally suited for desktops and small file workloads that do not change often. It is not designed to back up busy servers.
To support the CAES CrashPlan service, the CAES Dean's Office, along with other key CAES staff, maintains a dedicated CrashPlan Instance used to delegate administration, including backup and restore functionality, to departmental IT units.

Lansweeper is an IT discovery and inventory tool available to CAES units.
Lansweeper delivers insights into the status of users, devices, and software within IT environments, inventories connected IT devices, and enables Departmental IT staff to centrally report on their IT infrastructure. Lansweeper's automated processes identify and compiles a list of connected devices, including computers, routers, servers, and printers. It furnishes device-specific information covering installed software, applied updates & patches, and user details.
To support the CAES Lansweeper service, the CAES Dean's Office, along with other key CAES staff, maintains dedicated Lansweeper servers used by the service.
The Lansweeper service will be available to CAES units soon.
Vulnerability Management Program (VMP) Proxy Scanning
The Vulnerability Management Program (VMP) service scans all UC Davis network computing resources for vulnerabilities and configuration weaknesses. The service is provided by the vendor, Tenable, and is managed by the Information Security Office (ISO).
In addition to the pool of VMP scanners managed by ISO, the CAES Dean's Office also maintains a VMP scanner that CAES departments can proxy their VMP scans through.
